Why the PSP is blatantly better than the DS

It’s an established fact that if you like one thing, you must hate everything else. You cannot enjoy two of any similar item in this world, which is why bisexuality has beenscientifically provennot to exist. With this in mind, I have had to choose between my PSP and DS, and with the decision made, I promptly tossed my DS in the trash where it belongs, because the PSP is best....

Worth it: eBay auction for crystal-covered Wii starts at $4,000

If 50 Cent pulled out a rocket launcher and started tearing up the Middle East over acrystal covered skull, wait until he gets a load of this — a Wii covered in Swarovski crystals. The bidding starts at a reasonable $4,000, which has nothing to do with the rarity of the Swarovski crystals — the total package also comes with a copy ofBrawlsigned by the game’s director, Masahiro Sakurai.

Wurzburg, I choose you!

While perusing through Google Satellite, I discovered that the pokeball actually originated inWurzburg, Germany. The photo above is from the gardens of the Wurzburg Residenz, former home of German clergy and aristocrats and Germany’s largest cock-, dog-, andelectric-mouse-fighting ring. When the Japanese and Germans teamed up for WWDeuce in the ’40s, it’s likely that Hideki Tojo was entertained here and first espied the pokeball. He took it back to Japan and used it in pro-war propaganda, thereby embedding the pokeball in the national psyche....

Xbox 360 sold twice as many online games as PS3 in 2010

It seems that the Xbox 360 is the gamer’s choice for online gaming. Recent data from the NPD Group says that the Xbox 360 sold roughly twice as many online-capable games as the PS3 in 2010. And the Wii? No contest. Microsoft’s console sold seven times as many online-capable games as the Wii. The data does not detail how frequently these games were played online, but I’m sure it’s safe to assume that the Xbox 360 would come out on top in online usage....

Yakuza say Yakuza 3 is suprisingly accurate in review

First off, sorry I didn’t reviewYakuza 3for you. I got some crap about not putting it up on Destructoid, but I’m sure that everyone interested bought it and has already played it now. The problem was that my travel schedule was so hectic that I couldn’t finish the review in a timely manner. If you’re still thinking aboutYakuza 3,go get the game. It’s fantastic. It’s easily one of my favorite PS3 titles....

You asked for it: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars gameplay footage

Rockstar must have heard you guys bitching: “Why was there so little gameplay footage in thatGrand Theft Auto: Chinatown Warstrailer youposted earlier?” Well, here it is. It’s small, but you can get a good idea of what’s going on. The game uses the touch-screen in a few pretty neat ways, none of which seem to invasive, either. The car-jacking/hot-wiring instances don’t have all of the time, for example, only on specific cars....

You can decide the fate of Modern Warfare 2’s DLC (maybe)

Similar toprevious statementsmade by Activision, Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling toldMTV Multiplayerthat beyond the two planned DLC packs, the studio will be looking for player feedback to dictate what type ofModern Warfare 2add-ons we will get. “If everybody’s clamoring for more Spec Ops missions, then that’s something we’re going to look at.” Having DLC that isn’t more multiplayer maps, as nice as they are, would be greatly appreciated. From what I have played of the mode so far, it’s been mostly excellent....

You know you have the best boyfriend ever when he makes you an ASHPD

My boyfriend has whipped up some majorly incredible surprises in his time, but I have to admit he has yet to craft me a replica of Pyramid Head’s Great Knife (and I would probably be thrilled if he did). Flickr useremilyskeithcan brag that her guy did one better: he created this ASHPD for a Aperture Science Test Subject costume she was planning. It not only lights up blue and orange along the tube and in the barrel, but the prongs light up red, too....
