Dead Space 2hits shelves on January 25, and if you thought you wouldn’t be shelling out extra cash for a fancy special edition, think again. If online retailer Amazon.com’s listing is correct, a special collector’s edition of the game ships with a replica of a Plasma Cutter. See, told you that you’d want this. The retailer outs the contents of the box (yet to be revealed by publisher Electronic Arts), which will contain: an art cell, a code redeemable for downloadable content, a soundtrack CD, and the aforementioned Plasma Cutter replica....

Super Columbine Massacre RPG, the independently-made PC game based on the school shooting in Littleton, Colorado was yanked from the Slamdance Guerilla Gamemaker Competition a few days ago due to overwhelming controversy surrounding the title’s entry. In protest, several developers have yanked their games from the contest, including Jonathan Blow’sBraid, Jonathan Mak’sEveryday Shooter, and Kellee Santiago’sflOw, and pretty much all of them have posted open letters to Slamdance on their blogs....

I never actually knew these existed, but now that I do, I want them! Unfortunately, anybody who wishes to own these metalDOOMminiatures will need to shell out a good few bucks. Most of them are currently on eBay for no less than a hundred bucks! These miniatures were made by Reaper, way back in the distant past of 1996. Available in never-opened blister packs, you may get your hands on Zombie Marines, Pain Elementals and Cacodemons....

de Blobis de bomb. Yes, I know that “de Blobis de bomb” is neither clever nor funny. I was amusing myself all week saying it and I just had to get it out of my system. Sorry. de Blobis a new Wii platformer coming out in September from THQ and I really hope it ends up being a hit. Sadly, after playing it, I immediately awarded it my “Zack & Wikiaward of E3″: a game with an amazing concept and addictive, creative gameplay that will most likely only reach cult status and not sell well overall....

It’s been roughly three seconds since there was an “M-rated Wii game” debate on the Internet, so we better get this written quick and plug the gap! Epic’s Mark Rein has been chatting toIndustryGamers, where he reaffirmed Epic’s policy on ignoring the Wii, going so far as to accuse adult-oriented games of being “huge financial flops” on Nintendo’s white box o’ waggle. “We don’t make games for that platform because we don’t see a market for the kinds of games we make — let’s be honest,” claims Rein....
