Even the Square Enix booth had tons of stuff that they have not shown at their US shows, such as awesome Dragon Quest goods, Final Fantasy shirts and more. I remember first getting my hands on Team Ninja’sNinja Gaiden, for the original Xbox system, some three years ago. I remember being impressed by the game’s stunning visuals, and then squealing with glee at the wide variety of attacks and weapons at my disposal. But what sticks with me most was the spray of blood let forth when I sliced into my first ninja, or when the occasional limb would get severed....
The above video is footage of the extremely recent Microsoft press conference from this year’s Tokyo Game Show. In the thirteen minute clip, it is revealed that MS will be giving Japanese gamers a plethora of items long available in the United States, such as the Xbox 360 Elite, the Messenger and (hopefully) bags of cash to convince the Japanese not to fear their gaijin ways. Of course, none of the above tactics are going to draw the kind of excitement Microsoft caused with the announcement of a pink Xbox 360 controller (coming soon to every Japanese home in existence)....
If you get the 3G Vita in Japan you’ll be hopping online through carrier NTT Docomo. The carrier and its pricing plans were announced today at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference this afternoon. The carrier and Sony have worked out pre-paid plans for gamers. The base plan features 20 hours of data, and that plan costs 980 yen. The deluxe 100 hour Vita data plan costs 4,890 yen. At the end of the conference Sony announced that half a million lucky Japanese gamers will get 100 free data hours by snatching up the first round of consoles....

I know you really, really wanted a copy ofThe Last Remnantfor the PS3. Hey, don’t make that face. The original plan was for Square Enix’s role-playing game to be released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Now? Not so much. Two out of three isn’t bad, right? At a shareholder’s meeting, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada expressed concern about the game’s profitability. Also, the span of time between the release of the original version and this PS3 version may also have weighed in....
