Worms 2: Armageddon gets a big ol’ update

There’s a problem with a lot of Xbox LIVE Arcade Games — their online communities tend to die off before too long. Even the good ones can suffer from this, simply because there’s so many competing XBLA games and people often will pick only a few multiplayer games, usually retail, and stick with them. As noted on Team17’s Facebook of all places,Worms 2: Armageddonreceived a major patch today. Hopefully there are people still actively playing it who will appreciate the work that’s been done....

A glimpse back at one gamer’s past

I turned 23 earlier this week, and as people often do when they grow a year older, I started thinking back to my younger years. I have done a lot of growing up, but there is one thing that has nearly always remained constant: I loved video games, and spent nearly as much time writing and drawing about them as I did playing the games themselves. This morning, my mother surprised me with a big collection of drawings she had saved from my childhood....

Activision vs. West/Zampella slapfight gets more pathetic

The playground antics of Activision and ex-Infinity Ward bosses Vince Zampella and Jason West have been pretty embarrassing overall, but the evil publisher today revealed that it’s always willing to sink one step lower and truly drag us into cringe country. Activision has announced it will be redistributing the money it owes Zampella/West to loyal IW workers as a petty parting shot. “Vince and Jason had very large bonuses; those bonuses are being redistributed to everybody else, to the people who did not allegedly attempt to steal company secrets,” reveals Dam Amrich....
