The director believes that Project Natal will most likely cause development problems due to its inherent lag, while the Sony Wiimote shall provide superior motion control. “[Natal is] exceedingly clever, but the lag on the input and lack of physical buttons is really going to restrict the kind of games that can be done with it”, he says....

Today Microsoft has announced its next mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7 Series. The part that’s relevant to your interests is —surprise!— it will support Xbox LIVE. According to the press release, the Games “hub delivers the first and only official Xbox LIVE experience on the phone.” This will include Xbox LIVE games, avatars, achievements, your gamer profile, and more. No word on to what extent it will support Xbox LIVE games, but we hope to hear more soon....

A piece ofCall of Duty: World at War‘sundead DLC is seeing new life on a different platform. Activision has released “an adaptation” of the “Verruckt” map for itsCall of Duty: World at War: ZOMBIESiPhone game. Priced at $4.99, and available from the game’s main menu, “Verruckt” is much like its console DLC counterpart. The official release states that it adds new weapons, defenses, and Perks-A-Cola Machines on top of the expansion area....

When I walked into, well,Game Room, I honestly had the feeling that the thing I was about to experience was going to be a lot like PlayStation Home. You know, controlling your Avatar through a virtual space and all. However, that’s not the case (which is a drag) but all the same, Game Room looks to be pretty cool in some ways.
