NIGORO’s WiiWare remake of the classic free-to-download PC platformer,La-Mulana, has been delayed until 2011. The developer announced that it would be postponing the release on its blog, following a recent submission to Nintendo. The nitty gritty details of the delay can beread on the blog, but the bottom line is we won’t be seeing it in 2010. Disappointed and frustrated by the delay, the developer is looking to release the game’s “Hell Sanctuary” DLC — originally scheduled to be available post-release — along with the title....

ZOMGTROUSERS! Halo 3: ODST isn’t in HD

Apparently, this is something to makea big deal over, butHalo 3: ODSTwill not be in HD. Perhaps this is becauseHalo 3: ODSTis based onHalo 3, which also did not run at 720p. Despite this blatantly obvious fact, people are still apparently surprised about this, especially given that the game’s visuals impressed a fair few people. “Everything that existed inHalo 3’s engine was there from the beginning.” says senior designer Lars Bakken....

3DS may be widescreen according to FCC leak

The FCC is like the ESRB of hardware. Whenever a company tries to get their products certified without the whole world knowing, leave it to them to make a leak. Case in point, the FCC has leaked the above image of a DS motherboard from a test kit. It’s a filing by Nintendo and manufacturer Mitsumi, and it’s simply designed for approval of the US DS Wi-Fi card. It was leaked last month byWirelessGoodness....

3DS: Make your Mii walk around on your desk

Through the magic of Augmented Reality you’re able to make your 3DS Mii walk around your IRL environment. The pre-installed feature (I wouldn’t call it a game) lets you move your Mii around, pose it and then take a 3D picture of it. This is fun for about two minutes total. Add in the Nintendo character cards, which have the same functionality, and my figures come out to about 12 total minutes of fun with the included software and cards....

TheDead Spaceteam invited me, along with a handfulof other bloggersand journalists, out to EA Redwood Shores a couple of weeks ago and gave us a full day’s look at all thingsDead Space. A Zelda DS mod AND a good cause? Sign me up!

I’m a sucker for agood mod, butthis is my favorite cosmetic modI’ve seen for DS, hands down. This Australia-based eBay seller took a plain DS lite and customized it with a remarkable paint job, added a beautiful detail of Link’s shield to the cover, and added some LEDs beneath to add a glow. Not only is it tasteful and well done, here’s the kicker — 15% of the final bid price will be donated toChild’s Play, Penny Arcade’s charity....

Activision wants us to hunt dinosaurs (such an evil company)

We here at Destructoid love sparking rudderless speculation about recent trademarks, which is why we’rethrilled to hearthat evil publisher Activision has trademarked the nameJurassic Hunter. Activision is known for making good on its trademark promises, so one could safely assume that the company is looking into a dinosaur hunting game at some point in the future. The interesting thing to note here is thatJurassic Hunteris the name of a game previously slated for the PlayStation 2....

Alone in the Dark contest entries and winner announced

A month has passed and the results are in. I charged readers with the task of hand-drawing their visions of what videogame characters do when they are alone in the dark, so that they might win themselves an Xbox 360, a copy ofAlone in the Dark, and assorted swag. First off, I am impressed that only ONE of you decided to send me a picture of Yoshi masturbating, an image too disgusting and pornographic to post here, although I am sure it can be made available to anybody who wants it....
