Puzzle Quest, the game that has earned raved reviews for combining the sex appeal of thought puzzles with the hyper-masculinity of Tokienesque RPG questing, is coming to Xbox Live! Those of you who have played the game already are probably collapsed on the ground, drooling on yourself with glee, but for those who have yet to experience the almost-sexual satisfaction ofPuzzle Quest, I have one word for you:No I don’t! I lied!...

Last year, Rockstar Games held a moustache competition, in an effort to raise issues of men’s health by way of moustaches. Or something. In any event, one winner was chosen to have his (or her?) likeness to appear in the upcomingRed Dead Redemption. That winner is Charles Leece. I mean, check out that impressive moustache that’s going to be immortalized in the upcoming title! Leece will appear as a villain, his face found on wanted posters throughout the game world....

Here’s a really nice teaser trailer forRisen 2: Dark Waters. This minute-and-a-bit of footage is more exciting than anything I found in my first (and only) hour of the first game. So, that’s a good start! I’m pretty keen on checking this game out. The first definitely had promise, but it was very weirdly designed and felt like a hassle to play. If they make this one more convenient to enjoy, it’ll be a fine RPG....

If you thought the Wii was a silly name, what do you think of the rumored moniker forProject Cafe? The latest industry mutterings suggest that Nintendo’s HD console will be calledNintendo FEEL, with a name that seems to nod toward the rumored touch-screen controller. According to the newest reports, FEEL will actually be able to simulate textures on the controller using haptic technology. Nintendo’s goal is to create a console perfectly balanced for both casual and hardcore players, with a console as intuitive as the Wii with the kind of games “core” players are used to....

Sam & Max Season 2 finishes up today, with the conclusion of the five-episode season now available on GameTap. Episode 205,What’s new, Beelzebub?finds the duo de la awesome bargaining with the devil for control of Bosco’s soul. Those of you without a GameTap account will find the episode available tomorrow onTelltale’s web site, where you can view a video and plenty of screenshots in the meantime. If you missed the earlier episodes this season, you can also get this one as part of theSeason 2 bundle, and catch up on the whole thing in one shot....

Our own Nick Chester reviewed and didn’t loveCapcom’s latest,Lost Planet 2. I felt like I enjoyed what I played of it more than Nick did, and some of the other outlets reviewed it a bit more favorably. Overall, the game’s still a mixed bag, and it all combines toward a pretty average review score and a pretty lukewarm reception. But Japan? They’re eating it up!Lost Planet 2for the PS3 was the best-selling game in Japan last week, beating outDragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walkerand more....

At E3 2010,the very best meeting I took the entire tripwas with the folks at Klei Entertainment. They were a small dev team with a dream who had invested everything they had into a little game about a man on a quest for revenge. That game wasShankand it went on to become rather successful for the folks at Klei. As such, it was an immense pleasure to see Jamie Cheng take the stage at the first annual EA Vegas Games Show to announce the sequel,Shank 2....

Sony has made a fresh announcement concerning the PlayStation Network’s status, announcing that it has nothing to announce concerning the PlayStation Network’s status. It’sstill down, in case you couldn’t gather that. “I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online,”said SCEA’s Patrick Seybold. “Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time. “As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly....

Sony is looking to kill this Christmas. The PlayStation 3 Slim and the price cut are being backed up by an£82 million advertising campaignthat kicks off in the UK tonight, and will run through Christmas. Recession? Sony laughs in the face of it. This will be Sony’s biggest campaign for the PS3 since it launched in 2007. A series of TV commercials will big up the functionality of the system, showing off features like Blu-ray, downloadable television and movie content, and BBC iPlayer access....

Some of you may be too young to remember theBeatles myththat secret messages about Paul being dead were found in several Beatles tunes when they were played backwards and that Paul was really dead and replaced by a look-a-like. Well all of that turned out to be a hoax and Paul is quite alive. But apparently you can find hidden messages in theKingdom Heart IIopening song, “Sanctuary” when you play the cinematic scene backwards....
