Most of you have commented that you weren’t a huge fan of Playlogic’sFairytale Fights. That’s fine, but maybe it’s because it was missing Puss in Boots. Playlogic has announced that “Treasure Pack 1” DLC will be hitting PlayStation Network on February 11. The pack includes new characters playable in story mode (Bones, Princess Afia, Grandma Red, Puss in Boots), as well as new player-vs-player arenas — “Time to Die,” “Rooftop Rumble” and “Cannon Ball Bay....

This just in: the newPokémongames will be calledPokémonBlackandPokémonWhite, and are set for for release on the Nintendo DS sometime this year. According to the games’ Japanese Web site, we’ll be getting more info on this situation on April 15th. Exciting! We’ve known these games were coming since the announcement ofZoroaka while back, but the announcement of name, console, and year of release were all new. A lot of people were thinking that these games would end up on the Nintendo 3DS as exclusives, which we now know won’t happen....

They may not be “new,” but I thought the majority of you could appreciate another series of glimpses at theupcoming PlayStation Network title....

A female ex-Konami employee by the name of Yoko Sekiguchi is apparently suing the publisher for ¥33 million ($344,000) in damages for what she describes as sexual discrimination. In her words, she says that she went on maternity leave last October and was absent through April, but when she came back to work, Konami demoted her and docked her pay by ¥200,000 ($2,000) per month (original story can be seenhere)....

ImagineTilt to Live, but far more laid back and given an artsy fartsy visual appearance. That’sLast Fish(iOS), and while it doesn’t sound too exciting, it’s a nice little game. Oh, and it’s free, which helps. You control a fish and undertake several challenges by tilting the iPhone to move it around. You have to avoid black spots, while collecting white ones for health. You’ll also need to pass through checkpoints when the game dictates to unlock new levels....

At first,MGS 2took a monstrous lead, with two votes for every singleKatamarivote. Then, in some entertaining tallying irony, a proverbial ball of votes began to roll and gain speed. For several scrolls of the mouse theKatamariwad of support grew and grew, unanswered by its opposition....

Mobile gaming powerhouse Gameloft is not happy with Electronic Arts, criticizing the publisher for itsholiday iOS sale, in which a huge amount of games were offered for a measly $0.99 apiece. According to Gameloft head Michael Guillemot, such a sale threatens innovation and makes it hard for smaller titles to compete. “There is a high uncertainty for the future anytime somebody can steal the market at Christmas,” he states, adding that it will lead to a “good enough” attitude where developers rush games out of the door for a quick 99 cents, rather than develop a better title that costs more money....

This week’s forgotten game is actually not one I particularly enjoy, but must nonetheless be recognized for what it attempted to do. That game isStarship Titanic, the brainchild of Terry “Monty Python” Jones and Douglas “Douglas Adams” Adams: it was an extremely ambitious adventure/humor game, a combination betweenMystandThe Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Tecmo Koei has decided to pull the trigger early on its GDC offerings by releasing a hot new teaser trailer forNinja Gaiden 3. Very little has been said about the game since itsTokyo Game Show announcement, but the public will see more at this year’s E3. In the meantime, here’s a teaser video that manages to pack a ludicrous amount of blood into such a brief space of time. It does not appear thatNinja Gaiden 3will be getting an “E” rating....

It has been just over a year now since LucasArts and BioWare made their big announcement ofStar Wars: The Old Republic. Really a matter of when, not if, the game has been in development for a long time, and dreamed of by fanboys for even longer. When taking something as beloved as theKnights of the Old Republicfranchise and turning it into an MMO, people were bound to have some interesting feelings for the game....
