Bethesda Softworks and idSoftware have announced the presentation and panel line up for for QuakCon 2010 today. It features the expected guests, including a keynote from id genius John Carmack, as well as presentation showing off the upcomingRageand Splash Damage’sBrink. But surprisingly, and perhaps somewhat curious, is that a slew of folks from Respawn Entertainment — the studio from the ashes of the “Great Infinity Ward Fallout of 2011” — will be on hand to speak....

In a bit of a surprising and puzzling announcement, Peter Molyneux and Lionhead have announced thatFable II— yes, the game that was released last October — is going episodic. CalledFable II Episodic,Fable IIwill be broken up into five chapters, with each of the chapters said to have a “natural break.” The first chapter will be free to download; after the completion of the chapter, players will get the option to purchase the next chapter or the rest of the game....

Greenpeace recently drewsome not-so-peaceful pressin Nintendo’s direction by stating that the Wii was bottom of the barrel when it came to enviromental compliance. If you playCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfareon the PlayStation 3, then be warned. A mob of hackers and glitchers haveessentially overrunthe game’s online component, griefing the Hell out of the multiplayer and then posting Youtube videos of their nefarious chicanery. The videos tell people how they too can fly and walk through walls, helping the problem to propagate itself as others get wise to the unfair tactics. “Apparently the new hacks are for flying (no clip), no reloads (endless supply of ammunition), god mode, laser sights and the ability to move through buildings,” explains theModern Warfareforum moderation team....

Hakan has finally been revealed forSuper Street Fighter IV. We’ve known about him for months now and Capcom finally showed him off at the Fight Club last night in San Francisco. Hakan is an oil wrestler hailing from Turkey and one of his finishing moves is that he … well he more or less “poops” you out. Gross. Super Street Fighter IVwill be out on April 27 for $39.99 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3....

The biggest videogame franchise ever gets the biggest movie treatment ever. I would seriously pay money to actually watch something like this in theaters. P.S.
