Clever artist creates two cute SF IV Mighty Muggs (Update)

Kotaku tipster, Jerry Cortez, recently revealed two customStreet Fighter IVcharacter Mighty Muggs on the Internet. Since I can’t find any information on Mr. Cortez, I’ll go ahead and take credit as the inspiration for the Zangief Mighty Mugg pictured above. The slanted brows convey my surprise whenever someone actually has the gall to face off against me. The unwavering, intense stare is an indicator of my aggressive style; often opponents are surprised whenever they manage to connect with a low kick during a bout....

Condemned 2: Bloodshot looks dark and moist

Sega has released four dark and sticky looking screenshots of their upcoming sequel,Condemned 2: Bloodshot, slated to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early next year. The screens reveal little about the game that we couldn’t have already assumed — it’s going to be dark, it’s going to be wet, and you’ll get to nail someone with a pipe you ripped out of a wall. Sounds good. The title is once again being developed by Monolith Productions, responsible for the originalCondemned, a game that was relatively well received (and this authors favorite Xbox 360 launch title, if I might add)....

Dear Sony: Make another Medievil game … NAOW!

Dear Sony, It has come to my attention that your Cambridge studio has not made anotherMedievilgame in quite some time. In fact, the last time we saw one was thequasi-remakeon the PlayStation Portable back in 2005. That’s over half a decade ago, and that is not acceptable. The franchise has always been vastly entertaining in spite of its clunky controls and loose combat, which can mostly be blamed on the limitations of the PlayStation One....

Destination Arcade: A new, smarter way to find XBLA games

Few of us could have predicted how crazy successful Xbox LIVE content — downloadable games, movies, crap for your Avatar, etc. — would become. I mean, Microsoft had to completely revamp the Xbox 360 dashboard interface to make browsing the storefront not so overwhelming. It’s still an issue, but the “New Xbox Experience” was a step in the right direction. They’re taking it one step further,Major Nelson tells us, with an alternative way to dig through the ever-expanding Xbox LIVE Arcade catalog: Destination Arcade....

Destructoid review: Sway

Sometimes, introductions don’t come easy. I’ve had this one on the back burner for over two days. I have around 150-350 words to sell you on clicking the link to our review if you’re uninterested. (I’d imagine the curious would do it regardless.) Usually, I try to write about a memory that was jarred loose by my experience with the game or even try to convey an emotional response that I had while playing....

Destructoid’s games of the week for 12/17/06: I was a roadie for Ted Nugent edition!

Nex takes a drag from a Lucky Strike It all started back in 1977 or so; Ted had just released“Cat Scratch Fever”and the whole world was rocking to the sweet licks of the Motor City Madman. I was working as a roadie at the time and after a long day of hauling amps into the trucks for Ted’s“Venison For Virgins”Tour, we would all head out to whatever bar was local and we’d drink until we couldn’t see....

Destructoid’s gamescom 2010 Game of the Show

We are almost always required to provide a “Game of the Show” at the end of any major gaming exposition. gamescom 2010 is no different, and I was utterly spoiled for choice this year with big title after big title thrown in my path; not surprising, considering that gamescom is the biggest event of its type in the world. (Yes, that does mean it is bigger than E3.) Picking gamecom’s best of is definitely not an easy task, and naturally opens it up to a world of trolling and no holds barred Internet rage....

Dishwasher: Vampire Smile launch trailer

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smilereleases this week on Xbox Live Arcade. Ska Studios has released this trailer to remind us of its impending arrival. As you may be unsurprised to discover, it is pretty vague but does feature lots of people and robots being shown the brutal end of vengeance over a rocking music track. I played this gamewith Jordan on Saturdayand it was really fun right up until the fifth or sixth time we had to fight a sub-boss because our dishwashing skills had gone soft....
